The Christmas Story
Another Christmas is past.
What did it mean? What was it about?
How long did it last? Christmas lights, shopping, travelling, fun?
Candy canes, cookies, family, or rum?
Carols, gift-giving, decorations galore?
Santa Claus, reindeer, eggnog, or more?
Or was Christmas about what it should really be?
The birth of Jesus Christ, the Savior, God’s gift to you and me?
You know the truth, you hear it a lot.
When everything is stripped away, what have you got?
A babe in a manger, a gift from above;
The Way, the Truth , the Life, God’s great love.
Yes, every year you hear a tid-bit.
From the Bible, in Matthew and Luke, or even a skit.
They tell of Mary, the virgin, chosen ...

Have you ever thought about Christmas in the manner that it is Jesus's Birthday, instead of a modernized gift giving holiday? When it is your Birthday what do you do? At my house we have a party, cake, ice cream, I get gifts, and I get to pick what is for supper, it is all about me. What a great day!! Now , how come Christmas isn't all about Jesus? He should get the presents. It started out that way, the wise men brought Him gifts. We have taken Jesus's birthday and made it once again about us. We give one another presents, but it is His birthday, what about Him? We pick the traditional Christmas Dinner, what about Him, maybe He would rather we ate something else. ...

It is my belief that the United States of America needs to repent from their sins as a whole, and return their focus on God. The reason for repentance is not to just find favor with God. The reason for repentance is because we are not living as we are called. We are not being a light in a dark world. Our light is getting dimmer and dimmer as we seek worldly values and immorality. Yes, there are several Believers in America who truly seek Christ. Praise God for this remnant. God desires more!! There are too many people using our Lord's name in vain as they claim Christianity with their mouth and not their heart. Jesus is our role model, He did not seek wealth, fame or recognition...
